A small EP bundled up with short fantasy inspired tracks.

Around February 5th, I decided to take a weeklong media break after a pretty rough January. I had plenty of things going on in my life and still do as I'm typing this, but the main reason for this break was to fall back in love with music again. Creating music has always been the highlight of my life ever since I've started, but that slowly started to change as years went by and life and its ever changing problems started to occur. I decided early on that the crux of this break was going to first and foremost, rekindle my love for music and I told myself that I wouldn't come back until I made something I'm proud of. Now, a week later, it's safe to say that I am thoroughly proud of how these tracks turned out and how this project turned out.

The inspiration for this project came from many different forms of media with the notable two being video games and film. The entire project features tracks that are separated into what I would consider to be both video game-like or film-like. For example, Act I and Act II are tracks that I feel sound more like fantasy film scores. For those tracks, I was heavily inspired by Torin Borrowdale (Locke and Key) and for tracks like Act III and Act IV, I felt they sounded more like video game dungeon crawling scores so I was partially inspired by the early works of Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy).

The instruments used for a majority of these tracks stay the same throughout the project. Soft piano melodies featuring harps and celestas with heavy emphasis on strings. Since a plethora of fantasy music benefit from having beautifully articulated string swells, I tried my best to replicate that same sort of emotion.

With all that being said, I hope you enjoy this project :)
